Being an Aronofsky film, I purposely steered clear of any footage or spoilers on this as I knew I would want to see it anyway, after all his films are usually pretty special. I was not disappointed and knew that there was more to this film than just a story about someone doing ballet. From the first 5 minutes it is a clastrophobic experience, the photography and framing is very close and tight. Natalie Portman owns this film, she takes up 99 percent of the screen time and appears in every scene, she just nailed her acting skills in this and fully deserved her Oscar and other awards.Picture and sound are spot on, and there are worthwhile extras and a good making-of doc.

Not a comment on the Black Swan review per se, just a general comment about your blog. I thoroughly enjoy reading your 50 - 100 word reviews, thank you for sharing them. My only complaint is the higher than average number of type-o's and occasional poor grammar. Other than that, keep up the good work.
Cheers

Thanks for the feedback Rob, glad you enjoyed reading it.
I do the blog as a diary really, something to say that I was here on the planet and something my children can read when I am gone.
I'm not a professional writer or reviewer (but would love to do it), and can't promise the grammer or spelling will improve!!
Cheers
Neil
